Although no official word has come down, it appears that Houston Texans LB Brian Cushing may have torn his ACL last night against the New York Jets. Cushing went down when Matt Slauson illegally cut him from behind, something we're sure the NFL will be looking at today. "Crisis No. 1. I don’t know who told me one time, but he said there are always two or three crises in a season." Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said. "If this is our first one, then we’ve got to be ready for it. But one thing we learned last year was that we’re a team and we’re going to win and lose as a team. [The players] are focused on that. We already talked about it. And they understand. I know this team has tremendous character, and there are times you have to reach a little deeper than normal. If we have to do that, I think we’ll find a way.” The undefeated Texans have been in this situation before. Last season, after losing both QB Matt Schaub and WR Andre Johnson, they pulled it together and almost made it to the AFC championship, losing to the Ravens 20-13 in the divisional round. After the game, Cushing was seen on crutches shaking his teammates' hands as they came off the field.
