The Texas Tech Red Raiders unveiled their new “Never Quit” themed uniforms for their game against Kansas State on November 9th. The uniforms themselves are pretty good looking and the “Never Quit” name plate isn’t the worst thing I’ve ever seen, but the helmets are atrocious. Not only do the helmets exclude any sort of Texas Tech logo, but they say “never quit” literally all over them. Overkill much? Head coach Kliff Kingsbury has final say on uniforms, so you have to wonder what exactly he was thinking here.

Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury is becoming as well-known for his good looks and suave style as he is for his coaching prowess. We’re now at the point where kids are dressing up like him for Halloween.

That's what could be said about Texas Tech football on Nov. 12, 2011.
The once high-flying Red Raider offense looked listless as they lined up late in the first half against No. 2 Oklahoma State.

It was clear in the minds and eyes of the Texas Tech faithful that their team didn't have any fight.
Final score: 66-6.
Clearly, you really wanted to know what Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy thinks about Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury’s “heartthrob” status. No? Well we’ve got the answer either way. Via John Helsley of The Oklahoman:
Gundy on Kingsbury as a heartthrob: “When you make as much money as he does and you’re single, a lot of people consider you a heartthrob.”

It's hard to question the methods so far of first-year Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury as he has returned to his alma mater and led the Red Raiders to a 7-1 start. Some Tech fans compared Kingsbury's hiring to the hiring of Mike Gundy by Oklahoma State in 2005. Both are former quarterbacks at the schools they now coach, but Tech fans may have made the comparison hoping for results.

Oklahoma’s twitter account shortly deleted the tweet after it was sent out.
