In a quarterback driven league, the importance of finding the right quarterback is paramount to any franchise.  Many teams use their highest draft pick on a quarterback in an effort to establish a face for their franchise and get their fans excited about the future. Over the last 15 seasons since 1998, a quarterback was selected with the first pick of the draft twelve times. Some of those draft picks lived up to those expectations, and many did not. Since coaches and GMs have a limited window to prove their worth and ability to field a winning team, that urgency trickles down to the players as well, most prominently the quarterbacks. And some cannot handle that pressure. If a young quarterback does not show enough potential and promise early in his tenure as the starter, coaches will not hesitate to go in a different direction. And if that quarterback was not personally chosen by the GM and coaches in charge, that opportunity is even more limited. As this season winds down, many teams will face an organizational decision to stay the course with their current quarterback or cut their losses and start anew. With a fresh crop of talented college quarterbacks expected to declare for the NFL Draft, this list will count down the teams that are most likely to be in the market for a new quarterback in 2014.
