Sportsday:
In winning for the fourth consecutive game, the Cowboys allowed Philadelphia 297 yards of total offense. That falls right in line with the defensive performance during the four-game win streak. The defense has been amazingly consistent.
In each of the four wins, the Cowboys' opponents total offensive yardage has fallen in a very narrow range. Eleven yards to be exact. Opponents have ranged between 297 (Philadelphia) and 308 yards (Seattle). Opposing quarterbacks have generally eaten dirt four times a game, though Seattle's Matt Hasselbeck bit it only three times.
It's a nifty little formula that has worked well for the Cowboys and their defensive coordinator.
