Recently, BC has been grinding away at all Wisconsin sports legend engagement news. Yes, we broke the Ryan Braun-Larisa Fraser story. Yes, we broke the Aaron Rodgers-Destiny Newton engagement story. And the best part? Wisconsin beat writers are acting all high and mighty, like they are above this type of news…typical jock-sniffers. Meanwhile the Aaron Rodgers engagement is blowing up in Milwaukee papers and women throughout Wisconsin are debating whether or not Rodgers could do better. Well, could he? Destiny sports a tramp stamp, is a self-proclaimed fan of Jack Daniels and has no known social presence on the Internet. She seems to only appear publicly with Rodgers when he’s at a Vandy football game and has only been photographed at one Packers game. We smell loyalty, which says something considering her sister, Shawntel, has appeared on 11 episodes of The Bachelor. Why does it all matter? Because sports is entertainment. Fans cared that Joe DiMaggio married Marilyn Monroe. Fans cared when Joe Namath went with Raquel Welch to the 1972 Academy Awards. They’re entertainers. It’s business. Wisconsin cares because it’s their sports hero. It’s like Prince William marrying a nobody. The chick becomes famous by association. Filed under: Football, Girls, NFL, wags girls
