Ryan Tucker has always been a fan favorite even as he struggled with drug suspensions.  Something about the big, tattooed guy was just so lovable.  He was a good player too when he was on the field.  That’s why it isn’t surprising at a position like right tackle where the Browns have struggled so hard to fill it, that fans showed love for Ryan Tucker.  Tucker scored 72% of the first place votes.

Orlando “Zeus” Brown came second.  The late offensive lineman was probably most well-known for pushing a referee to the turf after having his eye smashed with a weighted penalty flag.  Brown was with the Browns when they moved to Baltimore and played with the Ravens before coming back to the real Browns as a free agent.  Sadly, Orlando Brown died from complications due to diabetes at the age of 40.

Kevin Shaffer came in third on this list.  Shaffer was the Browns’ left tackle when they drafted Joe Thomas third in the NFL draft.  As can be expected, Shaffer didn’t initially take too kindly to that.  Eventually he moved over to the right side even though he was being paid like a starting left tackle.  Unable to come to a new deal, Shaffer was eventually released by the Browns in 2009 after three seasons with the team.

Tony Pashos was signed to finally solidify the right tackle job for the first time since Ryan Tucker was out.  Maybe he even did it compared to some of the guys who preceded him.  Still, not nearly well enough as he battled injuries over his first two seasons with the Browns.  Pashos is under contract for one more season for just under $3.5 million.  Pashos was good enough for fourth.

John St. Clair was signed on the heels of Ryan Tucker’s uncertain future and with the release of Kevin Shaffer.  Upon his signing, most seemed really happy with his potential versatility and his ability to stay on the field. Unfortunately, St. Clair was also compared to a turnstile as time wore on for him as a member of the Cleveland Browns.

Steve Zahursky, Roger Chanoine and Joaquin Gonzalez round out the list.
