People close to the Dallas Cowboys Tackle Tyron Smith say he's pretty torn up over the actions of certain family members trying to cash in on his NFL career. First it was reported by the Dallas Morning News reported Wednesday that Smith called Police on Tuesday after his so-called loved ones showed up to “harass and torment” him “in the pursuit of collecting financial gain,” according to the report filed by police. Smith has three sisters and two brothers, and of two of his greedy sisters were among the people that showed up at his home Tuesday, although police did not name names. Smith has been battling these family members for a while now, the report says. In the summer, Smith had a protective order taken out against his stepfather, Roy Pinkney and his mother Frankie Pinkney. “Lesser means were tried and they weren’t successful,” Smith's attorney John Schorsch said. “You can use your own imagination as to what it took for a guy that big and that imposing to be that worried.” Now, Schorsch is saying that Tyron is missing over $1 Million, and is suggesting his family stole it. “I’m not certain of the amount of money that’s gone,” he said. “I would suggest to you that the numbers are in the seven digits that need to be accounted for. I don’t know how much of that, if any, is a legitimate gift and how much of that is squeezed out of him or how much of that is flat out taken. And I know of the latter two categories it’s a bunch. Smith's mother has denied taking any money. “I don’t know anything about any missing money,... The money that we did receive from Tyron was all accounted for and everything is in writing, and he’s authorized all of it.” Smith signed a 4-year, $12.5 million deal as rookie in 2011 and has given his family a substantial amount of money already, and they're still bothering him for more. You gotta feel bad for the guy, who worked hard to make it to the NFL, and now his family thinks that his money is essentially theirs. Money certainly brings out the best in people, no?
