The word out of Indy is that the New York Jets are functioning as the horrible-run organization that we all know them to be.
Recently, word began to leak out of Jetsland that Darrelle Revis was on the trade block. Rex Ryan denied the reports, but that, of course, means nothing. Revis got emotional about the reports and pointed the finger at Jets owner Woody Johnson.
But it didn’t end there for Revis or his team. They made the trip to Indy for the combine for the chance to meet face to face with Ryan, Johnson, and the rest of the Jets contingent. But according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, the contingent has dodged Revis’ team.
The Daily News has learned that the Jets’ contingent, which included GM John Idzik, Rex Ryan and Johnson himself, didn’t meet or contact Revis’ representatives during the combine, fueling speculation that Johnson simply doesn’t want to pay the Pro Bowl cornerback as the team enters a rebuilding phase in 2013.
