Football Extra Points:
The NFL and Roger Goodell are hypocrites when it comes to player safety. The Redskins RG3 is proof.
The NFL has enacted new rules and protocol in the name of player safety. Players are required to take baseline tests for concussions. If a player is injured during a game, they have to pass a battery of tests to get on the field. A strong example is Javid Best of the Detroit Lions. He sustained an injury to the head two years ago and still hasn't been cleared to get back on the field.
If the League was truly concerned with player safety Robert Griffin would never have played this week. Dr. James Andrews is basically Dr. NFL, he sees every major injury in the NFL. It came out this weekend that he never cleared RG3 to play and was "a nervous wreck" about RG3 playing. Yet everyone saw RG3 out there limping around and obviously injured.
The bottom line is that the NFL is concerned about lawsuits pending from head injuries more than they're concerned about playe...

This unidentified grocery store's attempt to make a Washington Redskins cake was a good effort, except for one small detail.
Unfortunately, it's the most critical detail of the cake: they misspelled the team name. Sorry, it's not spelled "Reskins".
Since the cake apparently hasn't been sold yet, maybe it can still be fixed. Or, maybe the...

Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III isn’t
included on the team’s injury report this week and linebacker London Fletcher
is probable to play today against the Seattle Seahawks, but offensive lineman
Kory Lichtensteiger is questionable to play with an ankle injury.
Fletcher missed practice on Wednesday and again on Friday as
he continues to be hampered by his...
According to the Washington Post, Redskins linebacker London Fletcher didn’t sound very certain that he would be back next season.Fletcher, 37, is the third-oldest player in the NFL, but continues to play well. He remains under contract after re-signing with Washington last spring. However, he addressed the entire Redskins team in the locker room, and some of his teammates wondered...
RG3 is on his way to have his knee examined after an MRI done last night couldn’t conclusively determine if he has re-torn his ACL.
He is going to get checked out by Dr. James Andrews.
The Redskins fear that he has torn his ACL and PCL. If that is the case the recovery time is nine to 12 months and would put his 2013 season in jeopardy.
During the final minutes of the Redskins loss to the Seahawks on Sunday, RG3 was injured in a horrific manner. The extent of the injury isn’t known yet, but we are very positive that knees aren’t supposed to bend like they do below.

At some point, an injured player, even a star like Robert Griffin III, is too hampered to help a team. Deciding when is enough is the biggest issue.
Redskins coach Mike Shanahan has come under fire in the wake of Griffin reinjuring his right knee in Sunday's 24-14 wild-card loss to Seattle. The criticism has ranged from whether Shanahan cared enough for his sensational rookie...
When players from the Seahawks and Redskins met at mid-field following their NFC playoff game, it was only a matter of time before Richard Sherman and Trent Williams found each other.
The result was so talking and then attempted punch/shove by Williams to the face of Sherman. As players were seperated the Seattle corner took a chance to wave.
Seattle won the game 24-14 and will play...
