After the Patriots signed a new tight end, Michael Hoomanawanui (yeah, that’s his last name) today, tight end Visanthe Shiancoe was sent to the IR/Designated to return list.
However, there’s more news… Kellen Winslow, a free agent tight end who the Patriots brought to Foxborough to workout for the team, failed his physical. Why? His right knee is still pretty bad. A motorcycle accident in 2005 caused Winslow to undergo reconstructive surgery and several operations throughout the years.
