We’ve spent some time this week discussing the Black Hole, home of the Raiders and one of the most notorious fan bases. Just hanging around last night, I was warned at least three times from walking around there without protection (yikes).
This is a topic that Herald columnist Ron Borges, an ex-Raiders beat reporter, discussed in today’s paper.
His point, and I think it’s a good one, is that discipline is key. The Pats can’t get drawn into a pushing-and-shoving fight. Borges doesn’t believe the Patriots can afford to stoop to the Raiders’ level.
“If they can get you off your concentration then that works to their advantage,” Patriots G Brian Waters, an ex-Chief, said. “I try not to get caught up in that. It puts you in and up-and-down cycle.
