Eagles Locker:
The Eagles will likely be without 27-year old DT Mike Patterson for a long time. He collapsed on the field during practice earlier this weak. Initially the Eagles thought he was just dehyrated. But when he went to the hospital they discovered that he has tangled blood vessels in his skull. Patterson will either have to undergo surgery or radiation treatment to fix his problem. Patterson will likely miss most, if not all of the 2011 season. This is a pretty big blow to the Eagles as Patterson is a pretty solid DT. Patterson played in 15 games for the Eagles last year and he had 37 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 tackles for a loss and 1 fumble recovery. He has now played in 95 games in his first six years with the Eagles and he has 297 tackles, 21 tackles for a loss, 13 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 6 fumble recoveries, 4 passes defensed and 1 interception.
