After defeating the Cleveland Browns 34-3 Sunday, the Baltimore Ravens won their third consecutive game of the season.
The Ravens now hold a one game lead over the Cincinnati Bengals, and a two game lead over the hated Pittsburgh Steelers. Racing to the team's second ever 3-0 record, the Ravens seem to be winning in a way that Ravens fans are not used to.
Joe Flacco has led the Ravens through the air, not the ground, in beating their first three opponents this season.
The Ravens defense, usually the best unit on the team, has done their usual job against the run. Where they are lacking, is against the pass.
With the first three games officially in the books, we can look back at the games to see why the Ravens have been so successful.
Week one—Kansas City Chiefs. Current record 0-3. Also lost to the Oakland Raiders and Philadelphia Eagles. Ravens win 38-24, scoring two touchdowns in the last two minutes of a game that was closer than the score indicates.
