I was inspired by a few tweets from twoeightnine yesterday, showing some pretty crappy items available from the Buffalo Bills online shop (1, 2). What junk is still available from our hometown Steelers? Like, get your monies out now, cos here's a 2010-11 Steelers yearbook for only $2.95. I hope Matt Spaeth wrote for you to call him this summer, miss u xxoo. And Arnaz Battle flashed his nads in some picture because it's the only way people will remember he was a Steeler. And Antwaan Randle El 2.0 won "Most Likely To Gain 4.0 Yards Per Punt Return." Seriously, this constant reminder of Rashard Mendenhall's potentially Super Bowl-losing fumble is a fantastic gift that will collect dust like none other. Maybe the worst is the 2009-10 season DVD, painfully-titled "A Fine Line." The description: "The 2009 Pittsburgh Steelers knew it wouldn’t be easy to repeat their success of a year earlier.  In 2008, stirring comebacks and late-game heroics carried the Steelers to an unprecedented sixth Super Bowl title.  But all too often, the critical plays that closed out wins in 2008 didn’t come in 2009.  Of their seven losses, five were by just three points.  After starting the season 6-2, a five-game losing streak proved too much to overcome, and Pittsburgh failed to reach the postseason." Still available at only $4.95. Relive all the painful memories of not making the playoffs for less than 5 bucks. Exactly what the fans of the current 7-6, bubble playoff team Steelers need right now.
