Season 4, Episode 28 of The Terrible Podcast is up and co-host David Todd and I spend most of this show talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers trading for tackle Levi Brown Wednesday morning. This includes contract and salary cap talk in addition what it means for Mike Adams.
The Steelers are 0-4 and obviously had to do something. We talk about compensation that may or may not be included in the trade discuss both the long and short term ramifications of it.

As always, a few more talking points are mixed in over the course of the show.
Thanks for listening and don't forget to call or email with questions or comments and please pass us along to your friends!

I’ve watched more replays of the Steelers’ loss in Minnesota than I really care to admit. Apparently I’m a glutton for punishment and like carnage because I can’t look away.
While the missed tackles and blown assignments are one thing, I just can’t stop watching Mike Adams attempt to block Jared Allen.
Allen is and has been an excellent pass rusher in this league for a...
If you haven’t heard already, the Pittsburgh Steelers have traded a conditional late-round pick to Arizona for former first round pick offensive tackle Levi Brown. Mike Tomlin made no bones about the fact that Mike Adams was not getting the job down over the last three weeks and thus the rare in-season move was made.
If there is any good news from this move it’s this; According...

Pittsburgh Steelers president Art Rooney II issued a short statement Tuesday to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette following the team's 0-4 start.
In a football season you can't worry about your last game, or your last four games. The team has to focus on the next opponent and do what is necessary to improve each week of the season. If we continue to work hard and play with...
Ben Roethlisberger says the Pittsburgh Steelers are the worst team in the league only because they’re 0-4. “I was talking record-wise,” said Roethlisberger to the team’s website when asked about the comment he made after Sunday’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings. “If you look record-
During his career, Pittsburgh Steelers defensive backs coach Carnell Lake played five years under defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau so it's not surprising his coaching style is similar to his. At the conclusion of Wednesday's practice, Lake talked about his style and how he deals with his players.
"My style is not to really yell, but when I have to, I've got to really...
According to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said Tuesday he suffered a subluxation to the index finger on his throwing hand Sunday in the loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

Now that all of the contract numbers are in for new Pittsburgh Steelers tackle Levi Brown following the Wednesday trade, it wouldn't be a shocking to see Kelvin Beachum make his first start at left tackle a week from Sunday against the New York Jets.
Tuesday evening, Josina Anderson of ESPN reported that Beachum was scheduled to start a week from this coming Sunday and Bob Labriola...

In order to make room for tackle Levi Brown on the roster, the Pittsburgh Steelers waived cornerback Isaiah Green on Wednesday.
Brown was acquired Wednesday via trade with the Arizona Cardinals for a conditional draft pick.
Green was signed to the Steelers active roster from the practice squad on Sept 17 and has been inactive for each of the last two games.
Assuming he clears waivers...
• Steelers rookie wide receiver Markus Wheaton had his first significant role in the game plan against the Vikings last week but now might not be available for the Oct. 13 game against the Jets. Wheaton suffered a broken pinkie finger during last week's 34-27 loss to the Vikings that required surgery. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Wednesday that they will not evaluate Wheaton...
The longest bye week in Steelers history is upon us, and the questions and blame are being tossed around from all sides. And while the team maintains a winning attitude, we can't help but worry about that offensive line, easily the most glaring flaw on this team. Well today something interesting went down that could affect the Steelers.
Former Steeler tackle Max Starks...
We shall see just how bad the Pittsburgh Steelers view their tackle situation over the course of the next few days as the St. Louis Rams announced Tuesday the release of tackle Max Starks.
Starks signed with the Rams less than two weeks ago and he played all of eight snaps for them in two games.
Starks signed with the San Diego Chargers during the offseason, but was released prior...
The Real Reason Pittsburgh Won’t Win Over Britain
Despite the seemingly packed stadium in London Sunday, this year’s NFL exhibition probably didn’t win Pittsburgh many fans. This is sad from my point of view, as I am both a lifelong Steelers fan and a one-time U.K. resident. But, fact is, the Steelers just don’t look that impressive from a British standpoint. And this isn’t...
