Well guys, it’s time to update your salary book, since I know you’re scoring at home. While we wait for Patriots LB Shawn Crable to say his first public words since being promoted to the 53-man roster, we can offer a minor update. The former 2008 third-round pick, who missed most of 2008 and all of 2009 because he was on Injured Reserve, has signed a two-year contract with the Patriots. Crable will earn a salary of $395,000 in 2010 and $480,000 in 2011. His salary this season, of course, is prorated over 13 weeks, giving him a salary of (oh boy, more math) $320,937.50 for 2010. The only bonus Crable is slated to receiver is a $15,000 workout bonus for 2011. His salary would’ve been greater, but his missed an accredited year in 2009 because he was on Injured Reserve. Hopefully, next time he have a Crable update, it’ll be his actual words.
