Injuries up the gut The Seattle Seahawks and the New York Jets have interior line injuries on both sides of the ball. Offensively, the Seahawks will be without starting left guard James Carpenter (Concussion) for the second week in a row.  Despite being listed on the injury report, I expect John Moffitt (Knee) to start in his place, with Paul McQuistan starting at right guard. Max Unger injured his finger last week against the Vikings, but he was able to return to the game.  He has been participating fully in practice this week. I see no reason to think he will miss any playing time on Sunday. Defensively, the Seahawks should get Jason Jones (Ankle) back in the lineup this week.  His presence has been missed in the middle of the field. Seattle should also be welcoming back wide receiver Braylon Edwards (Knee). The most devastating injury for the Seahawks this week has got to be the concussion suffered by KJ Wright. The Seahawks may possibly be without two of their rotational defensive tackles on Sunday.  Greg Scruggs (Oblique) was unable to practice on Thursday and Friday.  I would have to think there is very little chance that he is active for the game, despite Pete Carroll calling him a game time decision. Clinton McDonald (Groin) had limited participation and is listed as questionable. The most devastating injury for the Seahawks this week has got to be the concussion suffered by KJ Wright.  The Seahawks three starting linebackers are solid, however there is a huge drop off behind them. Last week Mike Morgan replaced KJ, as I expect him to do this week, and Morgan struggled.  My hope is that after a week of running with the first team defense, he will have a considerably better game on Sunday. For the Jets The Jets starting left guard, Matt Slauson, is listed as questionable.  Starting center, Nick Mangold, and starting right guard, Brandon Moore, are both listed as questionable for the game. If two out of these three players are unable to play it should offset some of the Seahawks injuries. The Jets run a 3-4 defense which requires an anchor, nose tackle in the middle to rely on.  New York’s starting nose tackle is questionable and his backup is out. The only halfway healthy nose tackle on the team is third string Damon Harrison, who is listed as probable. Damon Harrison was signed this season as a un-drafted rookie and has played in three career games without making his first tackle.
