FLORHAM PARK–So, Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall said he plans to get into a fight with Bart Scott and Antonio Cromartie and get ejected from the game in the second quarter. And the response from the Jets? A metaphorical yawn.
“I’m just happy that he’s not picking on me to fight him,” Rex Ryan laughed. “We had that issue before and quite honestly, I was a little nervous running across that field….If he wants to get kicked out of the game in the second quarter, I think he should.”
Mike Pettine smiled when asked about Marshall saying he’s planning to get thrown out and said, “As long as it’s not a one-for-one trade, I’m all for it.”
As for Cromartie, he and Marshall have been friends since high school. “He had to give y’all something to write about,” Cromartie said.
