Former New York Jets cornerback Cliff Harris has been arrested for a third time in nine days. This has got ot be a pro football record, no? His first arrest came nine days ago, when he and teammate DE Claude Davis were caught smoking weed in a car. The arrest prompted the Jets to release him almost immediately. He then decided to fly back home to Oregon only to get locked up again for domestic harassment after witnesses saw him pushing his girlfriend at a local Buffalo Wild Wings. Which brings us to his thrid arrest, via ProFootballTalk.com: ' According to FOX 12 in Oregon, the third arrest was for failure to appear in court in connection with the second arrest, which was for domestic harassment after he was seen shoving his girlfriend. The reason Harris missed his scheduled court appearance is that he was pulled over for speeding and passing in a no-passing zone on his way to court, and the officer who pulled him over discovered that he doesn’t have a driver’s license, so the officer wouldn’t let Harris drive the rest of the way to the courthouse. Harris did eventually get someone else to drive him to the courthouse, but by the time he got there he was so late that the judge had issued a bench warrant, so he was arrested on the spot. '
