The NFL has fined Houston Texans linebacker Tim Dobbins $30,000 for his hit that knocked Jay Cutler from Sunday nights game. Dobbins hit the Chicago Bears quarterback with a helmet-to-helmet blow that gave Cutler a concussion. Dobbins claims that the injury to Culter is not his fault. “I did not hit him in his head, and actually, he ran into me,” Dobbins told Comcast SportsNet Chicago. “I just felt like he was going to take off and run with the ball, and I thought he was past the line.” The video from the game has a different account. Either way Cutler is not expected to play in Monday’s game against San Fransisco. Oddly the 49ers may also be without their quarterback, Alex Smith, who is also dealing with a concussion.
