Who would you rather have doubt you as an NFL quarterback, Phil Simms or David Letterman?
You’d think it was Letterman, but maybe not after what he said on his show Monday night with Simms in the guest chair.
Letterman asked Simms about the Jets’ quarterback situation, including how Tim Tebow fits in. Letterman wanted to know whether Tebow could ever be a starter, and Simms gave some analysis about how the Broncos succeeded with Tebow and how Mark Sanchez‘s contract complicates Tebow’s chances in New York or the rest of the league.
But where things really got interesting is when Simms and Letterman started talking about the playoffs from last weekend. The Ravens beat Letterman’s new favorite team, the Broncos (whose quarterback, Peyton Manning, was a Letterman favorite when he played for Letterman’s hometown Indianapolis). Letterman was still smarting over the loss.
Letterman’s biggest sticking point was how a quality quarterback like Manning could have been beaten by a quarterback ...

The future appears very uncertain for Tim Tebow and his NFL career. Tebow would like another opportunity to become a starting quarterback in the league but with the Jacksonville Jaguars stating they have no interest, he’s chances appear very thin. If he were to accept a position change, would the Tampa Bay Buccaneers be interested in him?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are struggling...
There's bad quarterback play, and then there's the quarterback play of the Arizona Cardinals, who are in desperate need of a savior going forward.
Could that savior be Tim Tebow?
While it's unclear whether the Cardinals will have any interest in pursuing a trade for the Jets' backup quarterback/clipboard holder, speculation of such a move has unsurprisingly picked...
PHOENIX -- As Australian pole vaulter Steve Hooker trained on the track at Paradise Valley Community College on Tuesday morning, a crowd began to grow beside him.
But the crowd, which grew at one point to as many as 50 people, wasn't there to see Hooker, who won a gold medal at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, or his impressive vaults. Few, if any, even knew who the world-class...
Brian Billick wasn't the only NFL analyst to have a brief brain malfunction at the end of a playoff game this weekend. Not to be outdone, CBS's Phil Simms advised the Houston Texans to kick a long field goal trailing 41-28 against the New England Patriots with 20 seconds left in the game... a field goal that would leave the Texans still down by 2 scores. Jim Nantz has...
Tim Tebow is sitting in quarterback purgatory right now, not sure about his future, and unsure where he’ll end up. Many pundits wonder where Tebow will end up, and some wonder if he can ever be productive.
You can now add former Giants quarterback and CBS commentator Phil Simms to the list of those who are not sure if has what it takes.
Simms told David Letterman that “it...
From nearly unstoppable to nearly invisible. Tim Tebow was two wins from the Super Bowl a year ago. Now, he's pretty much a player without a team - likely to be released by the New York Jets after one frustrating season and his hometown team in Jacksonville already pulling in the welcome mat.

Move over, Tim Tebow. Kaepernicking is all the craze now.
In the wake of San Francisco's 45-31 victory over the Green Bay Packers in Saturday night's NFC divisional playoff, 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick's touchdown celebration of flexing his right arm and kissing his bicep has taken off on social media.
Several 49ers fans have posted pictures of themselves in...
