Memories Of Kevin Malone:
Don't panic, i'm only joking. However, some people in this world actually believe that trading Kemp would be the prudent thing to do. This belief disturbs me to such a point that I felt it was necessary to make a post about it. :oActually, this post has very little to do with the Dodgers and a lot more to do with Dodger fans. Ever since I made my Kuroda post, i've been getting a few e-mails asking exactly where I see Kuroda getting blasted. Since the real answer to this question is so long, I thought I would just answer the question in a post instead of editing the FAQ.
Anyway, I get my judgments on the general perception of players from a combination of local media, national media, real life conversations, message boards, and comment sections on sites. Now before you say anything about the credibility of these places, i'll just say that they are still real opinions from real people. I'm not talking about trolling either, i'm referring to the people who truly and honestly believe the shit that they spew. Like me. :o
All of that dumb stuff you see out in the public eye is part of the reason why I'm doing this site in the first place. Try to keep in mind that there is a huge population of Dodger fans out there who have no fucking clue what they are talking about. On the contrary to that, if you're at this site, chances are you probably don't see many posts that say "we shud tradez kempz" at anytime in your daily life. However, that's probably because you stick to sites like Dodger Thoughts, Mike Scioscia's Tragic Illness, Sons Of Steve Garvey, and True Blue LA. And while I may have some minor quibbles with some of the opinions on those sites from time to time, rarely do they ever deviate from the logical and rational. The aforementioned morons don't visit those sites and they don't think rationally. Unfortunately, I fear those people may be the majority…
"think they should resing Manny Ramirez and then they can trade either kemp or ethier for an infielder, which would leave them with Pierre, Manny, and Kemp/Ethier in the OF along with a quality infielder. With it being probable that Furcal will leave, Pierre could lead off."Genius, right? Well the thought is more common than you think, and it's extremely frustrating. Why do you think a self righteous dick like me started this site in the first place? It's partially to balance out the morons in the media and douches that make posts like that on message boards. It's fucking mind-blowing.
"Ok. Pierre does have 11 extra base hits in 312 ab's. Ethier has 25 extra base hits in 361 ab's.Does your brain hurt? Mine does.
Now, Pierre has 37 stolen bases and Ethier has 3. Let's assume for both players that all of those stolen bases were stealing second. That single or walk just became a double.
So here is what it looks like:
Pierre: 48 extra base hits (37 sb's + 11 ebh's)
Ethier: 28 extra base hits (3 sb's + 25 ebh's)
Looks a little different now doesn't it.
Also, I will throw this in....Ethier has 62 strike outs and Pierre has 18.
Ethier is a SLAP hitting non speedster who makes more errors in the OF than Pierre does.
Of course you had to go to the junk in the mouth statement because you have absolutely nothing. You do not know how to conduct an adult argument. Maybe when you choose to grow up we can speak together like men. Until then, have a good day and God bless."
In a nutshell, reading things like that drove me away from posting on shitty public message boards and led me to just rant to whoever the hell is willing to read my shitty posts.
And hey, why not? After all, even my shit is better than their best. :D
