Tennessee Titans safety Michael Griffin, who is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on March 13, says he doesn't have any major qualms if the organization applied the franchise tag to him. It is not certain the team will use the tag on any player, but the Titans are considering Griffin as a possibility at $6.2 million, and according to what the safety told Nashville's 102.5 The Game via TitanInsider, it wouldn't be a big issue to him. “Would I be happy?” Griffin said. “Talking to my mother and coming from a great background, one of the best things she ever said was, ‘That’s a lot more money than you ever played for in any season you ever played. You can’t really be upset because you played for $3 million last year and you’d play for 6.2 million this year.’” Griffin made $3.31 million last year in the final year of his rookie contract and says he is content to let his agent, Ben Dogra, handle all the negotiations and business dealings this off-season.
