by John OehserFiled under: Titans, AFC SouthThe fate of David Thornton's season likely will be decided next week.
Thornton, the Tennessee Titans' nine-year veteran linebacker, has spent the first 10 weeks of the NFL season on the Physically Unable to Perform list. He practiced for a second consecutive day on Thursday, but the deadline for deciding if he will be activated or placed on injured reserve is fast approaching, John Glennon of The Tennessean reported Thursday.
Titans coach Jeff Fisher said Thursday he believes the deadline is Tuesday.
"He's doing good," Fisher said of Thornton Thursday. "He's moving around good and he's not having any setbacks."
Glennon reported that it would seem "highly unlikely" that Thornton will be active Sunday against Washington, but Fisher said, "We'll have to wait and see."
