Found October 18, 2013 on NFL Injury Report:
The Tennessee Titans are mired in a two-game losing streak, and reversing the trend doesn’t get any easier for the franchise in the immediate future. The Titans now face a team streaking in the opposite direction, the San Francisco 49ers, this Sunday afternoon in Tennessee. Ryan Fitzpatrick has captained the ship for the Titans the last two weeks, as starting quarterback Jake Locker has missed the last two games with sprains of the MCL and hip. Locker was originally diagnosed to miss 4-6 weeks with the injuries, but to the favor of Titans fans, has returned to the practice field in a limited manner, and has not been ruled out for the matchup against the 49ers. The third-year quarterback by way of Washington University was having his best season to date before the injury, accumulating a quarterback rate of 99.0, and totaling 6 touchdowns versus 0 interceptions. This is a sigh of relief for Titans fans – who also return running back Shonn Greene into the fold this week – with both working through practices and providing little news outside of that. According to Titaninsider, Greene has the best chance between the two to play against the 49ers, with Titans head coach Mike Munchak stating the following: “I think Shonn has a chance. He’ll do more tomorrow, and we’re going to think positively.” It would be a surprise to see Locker suit up this week, as the 4-6 week prognostication represents a return to full health, something the Titans will emphatically assure before returning the future of their quarterback position to game situations. Regardless, the 49ers and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio are preparing for the possibility of facing both Locker and Fitzpatrick.

Tennessee Titans: 2013 Week 7 NFL Power Rankings (#14)

Last week: 15 (+1) Record: 3-3 The Titans hung tough in Seattle and were just the 2nd team to cover the spread there over the past 2 seasons. Ryan Fitzpatrick is obviously a limiting factor for this team and, to be fair, Jake Locker probably would have been as well once his interception rate increased from 0.0%. However, they have plenty of defensive talent and can frustrate opponents...
