The Lions can’t say that no one warned them. They took a risk on Titus Young, and well, it didn’t pay off.
Detroit selected the former Boise State wide receiver No. 44 overall in the 2011 NFL draft. His talent on the field was said to be comparable to DeSean Jackson, but his behavior off the field was more Ryan Leaf. The Lions got just 81 receptions, 990 yards and 10 touchdowns out of a player who was supposed to take pressure off Calvin Johnson on the other side of the field.
Young’s character red flags weren’t obvious coming out of college, but they were out there. There were murmurs he interviewed poorly with teams, he had an arrest for misdemeanor minor alcohol possession and a suspension for violating team rules.
Since Young’s been in the NFL, though, he’s basically been the Amanda Bynes of the league. It might be impossible to list all of the young wide receiver’s infractions, but the notable ones are purposely lining up in the wrong spot on offense and his latest, getting arr...

LIVING THE DREAM
Titus Young the former NFL Wide Receiver who was arrested twice in one day (once for DUI and then hours later trying to steal his own car from police impound lot) also likes to take naps in AT&T stores. Deadspin has the story from a very annoyed AT&T employee. Living in The Detroit suburbs and working for AT&T I would regularly get Lions players in my store. One of particular...
Titus Young found out that setting records in the NFL is not easy, so he decided to try making history off the field. The former Detroit Lions wide receiver was arrested twice in less than a 15-hour span on Sunday, a Riverside, Calif., public information officer told Larry Brown Sports.
Young was arrested around 12:01 a.m. Sunday morning by a Moreno Valley Police officer who was...
Last season, Titus Young appeared to be on his way to establish himself as a solid member of the Detroit Lions offense. But that quickly unravled as he became a distraction for the entire team, wanting to be the focal point. He even managed to line up incorrectly in a game, and run the wrong patterns in a form of insubordination because he was not pleased as to how the Lions utilized...
Titus Young may have just saved his football career with his latest and stupidest move to date (who knows--he could do something even dumber still...).
He was loved once...once...
Everyone knows that malcontents and disruptive loud mouths are not wanted anywhere in the league (right TO?). Titus Young proved he was definitely a malcontent with his actions in Detroit and...
For more than three months, Titus Young has drawn zero interest on the open market, and was considered a longshot to land on an NFL roster this offseason.
His recent escapades cement that notion.
According to the Oakland Press, the former Lions receiver was arrested twice in a span of 15 hours last Sunday in Moreno Valley, Cal.
The 23-year-old Young was booked for drunk driving...
In a previous article months ago, I expressed my disappointment and disapproval of former Lion, Titus Young. I’m clearly not a fan. Guilty. Just as guilty as good ol’ Titus was this past weekend….TWICE in 15 hours.

One of the major concerns of NFL teams in the pursuit of Young was not his stature or abilities on the field, but his character off the...

Titus Young is quickly throwing his career away. Young who was released by the Lions, then signed and released by the Rams in the span of a few days has gotten himself into some ridiculous trouble this time.
According to the Oakland Press, Young was spotted by the police making an illegal left turn in front of a patrol car on Sunday morning. When they talked to Titus they felt...
Former Detroit Lion Titus Young arrested twice in 15 hours
This offeseason is starting to be like something out of a movie. First off it was Cliff Harris the former Oregon Duck who was arrested 3 times in 9 days. Well know we are learning that Titus Young has been arrested twice in 15 hours.
When he was released by the Lions, I was excited and thought to myself whoever puts...
Unemployed, and ******* crazy, wide receiver Titus Young was pinched for two separate incidents within a span of 15 hours on Sunday in Moreno Valley, California. The 23-year-old Young, who was axed by both the Detroit Lions and St. Louis Rams in February, was first snagged driving ********* in the early-morning this past weekend. Subsequently, the 44th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft...

At 2:22 p.m. that afternoon, police were alerted that a man...
After an awful 2012 NFL season, one in which he was labeled as a distraction before being released, Titus Young’s off-season is not going any better. First, Young was claimed by the Saint Louis Rams, before being cut only ten days later. Now, Young is even less likely to find another team to sign him after what happened on Sunday.
According to the Oakland Press, Titus Young was...

Former Detroit Lions, and now free agent WR Titus Young was arrested early Sunday Morning for drunk driving. Sometime Sunday afternoon Young thought it'd be wise to try to reclaim his impounded Mustang by breaking into the tow-company's compound. Young was arrested again.
Titus Young - 23 years old from Boise State - was the 44th overall pick by the Detroit Lions in 2011...
We’ve seen over the years many players go before their time and it wasn’t to an early NFL draft pick.
For the most part outside of the program no one really knows why other than the typical team announcement “breach of team rules”. With the shocking recently announcement of Sam Ukwuachu departure one can be left struggling to understand what’s going on in...
