IntheOT:
Everything I stated about how much of a joke Pete Carroll’s comments about the Seahawks could be 8-0 were further solidified today; by none other then Tom Brady. When asked about his team’s 5-3 result there were no ifs and or butts, it was the proper answer and explanation all winning players provide. Not dreaming unrealistic career .500 records like Petey boy. Here’s what Brady had to say on WEII where you have to believe he was taking a shot at Carroll. Because these comments were made one day after his where he probably found it absurd especially that one of those wins they did have was a miraculous comeback against his Patriots which should win in that spot 90% of the time. Here’s what he had to say:“We’re at where we really deserve to be, I don’t think we’ve played any better than our record. We don’t deserve to be anything better than we are. Look, every team can go, ‘Wow, without these plays we could be undefeated.’ Every team can say that. But we’re not, and there’s a reason why. It’s not like we’ve played great football over these last eight weeks. There is a lot of improvement we need to make. There is a lot of things we can do better. We need to get some guys healthy. We have to get everybody moving forward and make a big push here in the second half because this is where the best teams really start to show themselves.” That is exactly how you handle it like a pro, not like a clown Pete. It’s the mindset that separates winning from being average.

Pete Carroll Thinks His 4-4 Seahawks Are “So Close” To Being Undefeated
Pete Carroll has always been known for his very positive attitude, but sometimes his positivity can be a bit of a stretch. On Monday, Carroll called into 710 AM in Seattle to chat about his 4-4 Seahawks and he proceeded to let the world know how his Seahawks are “so close” to 8-0.
“It’s so close. We’re so encouraged by where we are and what we’ve done,” Carroll said...
Tom Brady wins another award he probably doesn't care about
Tom Brady has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.— Nick Underhill (@Nick_Underhill) October 31, 2012It's Brady's 22nd time winning the award, which ties him with Peyton Manning for the most all time.It was maybe Brady's best game of the season as he threw for over 300 yards and four touchdowns. Still, something Brady has stressed over and over again is...

Brady gives Britain a show in blowout win
The New England Patriots had a mission for week 8: Get in, get the win, go home. Turns out, due to Hurricane Sandy, getting out was the hardest part. The Patriots took out a mediocre St. Louis Rams team, just like they should have to many of their opponents so far.Tom Brady, with a passer rating of 133, dominated the Rams defense. Rob Gronkowski appeared as though he was never...
Can the Seahawks ever be road warriors?
As a lifelong Seahawks fan, that question is something I have pondered over and over again. The answer I come up with is this: I just do not know, but it is something that must be figured out in order for them to make the leap from pretender to contender. To be considered a legitimate contender, it simply must happen. No team can win a Super Bowl, let alone a few playoff games...
Comments from the other side - Rams 10/28
If the Rams fans weren't constantly wishing that Brady got injured, it'd be easy to feel bad for them. At first they blame the refs, but after awhile they just indulge in the booze. This was a good beatdown of an inferior team, maybe the first complete game we've seen from the Patriots all year. The Rams were also ticked off that the Patriots were running up the score...

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll shares his thoughts about whether or not a college team could beat an NFL team (Credit: AP Photo)
While on the Dan Patrick Show, South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier said based on what he has seen on Sundays, this year’s Alabama team could beat some of the bad teams in the NFL.
“Alabama, gosh, they look like they could beat a couple...

On Wednesday, Steve Spurrier told The Dan Patrick Show that the University of Alabama football team could compete in the NFL.

Alabama Vs. NFL: Steve Spurrier And Pete Carroll Make Arguments For Crimson Tide Beating NFL Team
It is an age old question that football fans have considered throughout time. Could the best college football team defeat the worst NFL team? The Hollow Mockery Week 8 Part I: Perpetual Revolution
Safety AwarenessBy now we’ve all seen the NFL’s commercial addressing player safety. It features Tom Brady answering the queries of a worried mother about how the NFL is improving safety, particularly for younger players. It is a clear PR move, attempting to soothe fears over head injuries and other such problems endemic to football. Perhaps it is slightly misleading in that...
Patriots head into bye week, Celtics open 2012-13 season
The Patriots will head into the bye week coming off of their first complete 60-minute game of the season in their 45-7 win over the Rams in London. Tom Brady played his best game of the year, and the defense finally generated some pressure on the opposing quarterback by blitzing for the first time this year. This will definitely be one of the talking points during the bye week of...
Peyton Manning's Continued Success Could Ultimately Make Life Difficult for Patriots in AFC
Building on what has been a common NFL theme for more than a decade, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning mastered the art of quarterbacking on Sunday, leading their respective teams to victory in impressive fashion. Now, there should be little doubt about which two teams will make the strongest push for the AFC's No. 2 seed, which carries a significant postseason advantage.

Mike Pouncey: Ryan Tannehill is NFL’s best rookie QB, will be like Tom Brady
You could easily make the argument that Ryan Tannehill has exceeded expectations as the starting quarterback of the Miami Dolphins this season. His TD-to-interception ratio of 4-to-6 is underwhelming, but Tannehill’s quarterback rating of 75.8 is not all that bad for a rookie leading an offense. Most importantly, he has played well enough to lead the Dolphins to a 4-3 record.
But...
Reflections at 4-4

Before the regular season began, I hoped the Seahawks could be 4-4 halfway through the season. They could have very well been 3-5, or 2-6 -- They played five games on the road; their three home games...
