Tony Gonzalez will not retire and he will return in 2011 and play for the Atlanta Falcons.
This is great news for Falcons fans as they will get to see the greatest TE in the history of the NFL for one more season. Alongside Matt Ryan, Michael Turner, and Roddy White, Gonzalez will make this one of the best offenses in the NFC.
With a strong offensive line returning, the offense should be better this upcoming year. If the Falcons are able to piece together some parts on defense, they will have a better shot at reaching the Super Bowl.
Gonzalez will be owed $5.75 million in the final year of his three-year contract he signed back when he came to the Falcons. It will be worth every penny and he probably deserves more. He will be turning 35 in February
