Training camp uncertain, free agency unsettled as Vikings golf for charity

Unable to sign or work with players, Vikings coaches and officials didn't seem to mind getting out of the office today to golf in Maple Grove on behalf of the Vikings Children Fund. Very cool event, but after playing nine holes in the media pro-am, golf is still the most humbling sport. Not much has changed since catching up with Frazier last week at a team appearance at a local elementary school, but here were some of the most interesting nuggets from Frazier's media availability today. *The Vikings staff -- mainly, Frazier and vice president of player personnel Rick Spielman -- have spoken to ownership recently about potential plans for free agency and training camp in Mankato, which would be canceled if the lockout persists. The staff is "discussing (Mankato) right now," as to whether the team will set a deadline for cancellation.
