Pro Sports Daily:
An ugly game offensively came down to the two kickers. The Ravens' Justin Tucker made his kick. The Miami Dolphins' Caleb Sturgis missed his opportunity but not by much.
Tucker's 44-yard field goal with 1:42 to play gave the Ravens a 26-23 lead and they held onto it in front of an announced 68342 at Sun Life Stadium but just barely. The Dolphins frantically drove down the field in the final minute but Sturgis came up short from 57 yards.
The Ravens survived improving to 3-2 on the season. Ray Rice survived a shaky first half and finished with 68 yards rushing and two touchdowns and Tucker was 4-of-4 on field-goal attempts.
The Ravens had a 23-13 lead with 12:06 to play but watched the Dolphins score 10 points to tie the game in a little more than four minutes.
The sudden change of momentum was completed when safety Reshad Jones picked off a pass by Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco and returned it 25 yards for a touchdown. On third-and-22 and backed up to their own 11 th...

The Baltimore Ravens announced that they’ve released veteran WR Brandon Stokely and re-signed TE Billy Bajema.
And so ends Stokely’s second stint with the team that originally drafted him back in 1999. Stokely caught nine receptions for 79 yards in three games this season, despite dealing with a groin injury.
This looks to be a positive sign regarding Jacoby Jones status, and...
Coach John Harbaugh pleased with the progress his tight end has shown while rehabbing his dislocated and fractured hip.
The Ravens remain hopeful that tight end Dennis Pitta will be able to play at some point this season.
After dislocating and fracturing his hip early during training camp it was initally thought Pitta was lost for all of 2013. After discovering there was no ligament...
Suggs, in an interview with Lisa Salters of ESPN, says he believes Roger Goodell "had a hand" in blacking out the Super Bowl between Baltimore and San Francisco. This, he says, "was done in order to keep the game closer." Suggs also said: "I was like Vegas, parlor tricks, you know what I mean?" Suggs says. "I was like, ahh, Roger Goodell, he never...
The Baltimore Ravens battle the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Who is out? Who is in? Find out, in your Baltimore Ravens Week 5 injury report. The most notable on this week’s report is wide receiver/kick returner Jacoby Jones (knee) listed as questionable. Jones has been out the past few weeks with a sprained medial collateral ligament. I guess the champagne bottle on the head...
The Baltimore Ravens finally have a road win, remain tied for first place in the AFC North and appear to have revived a running game that sputtered during the first quarter of the NFL season.
That's far from good enough for coach John Harbaugh, who apparently will settle for nothing short of perfection.
One day after the Ravens bounced back from an ugly defeat in Buffalo with...
Ravens receiver Torrey Smith pulled in six passes for 121 yards Sunday at Miami.Fantasy Spin:Smith is now "Mr. Consistency." He's produced at least 85 receiving yards and at least five catches in all five games this season and has 27 receptions for 556 yards and a touchdown in five games.
Ravens rookie wideout Marlon Brown, who has a hamstring injury, is inactive for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.Fantasy Spin:Brown has three touchdowns in four games but his fantasy value will take a hit when Jacoby Jones returns. Jones (knee) is also out Sunday, leaving Torrey Smith, Tandon Doss and Deonte Thompson as the only healthy WRs for the Ravens.
Joe Flacco walked slowly through the end zone toward his bench, seething as he stared at the scoreboard in disbelief while the other team celebrated a tying touchdown.
The Baltimore Ravens had given up two scores in 95 seconds, and their 10-point lead was gone.
''Frustrating,'' Flacco said. ''You come off to the sideline, you get mad for a couple of seconds...
Maybe for some it got lost in the translation of the Ravens' gut-check 26-23 win over the Dolphins last Sunday, but I sure as heck noticed the incredible run-defense numbers of Baltimore in that game...
Ryan Mink of the Ravens.com NFL website made the observation, too...
"Perhaps no unit made a bigger statement than the Ravens’ run defense, which gave up 203 yards...
Joe Flacco took a licking but kept on ticking... the guy is tough and was unfazed by the sacks and the hits coming at him due to the depletion of his offensive line.
As Jamison Hensley wrote for ESPN.com: "Of Joe Flacco's 16 career game-winning drives, the one in the Baltimore Ravens' 26-23 win over the Miami Dolphins isn't his most memorable. But, after Flacco...
Baltimore Ravens (2-2) at Miami Dolphins (3-1)
The Ravens have been a completely different team this year at home as compared to on the road. At home, they’ve beaten both Cleveland and Houston, but on the road, they were blown out in Denver and lost in Buffalo. This is nothing new. Since 2010, the Ravens are 25-3 at home and outscore opponents by an average of 10 points per game...
Earlier this week GM David Caldwell received a phone call from the Baltimore Ravens GM, Ozzie Newsome. Newsome reached out to Caldwell in hopes of acquiring Jaguars left tackle Eugene Monroe and wanted to work out a deal. Prior to the phone call, Caldwell had no intention of dealing with the left tackle who was in the last year of his contract until the end of the season.Nonetheless...
Justin Tucker's kick was right down the middle. Caleb Sturgis' was wide left.
Tucker kicked a 44-yard field goal to put the Baltimore Ravens ahead with 1:42 left, and they withstood a frantic comeback bid by the Miami Dolphins to win 26-23 Sunday.
Ryan Tannehill scrambled before completing a 46-yard pass to Brandon Gibson on fourth down to keep Miami's hopes alive,...
