Karl Dorrell lives in a difficult world these days. After rebuilding the UCLA football program last year with a very good team, his fans are already calling for his head after a slow and disappointing start to the 2006 season. In Dorrell's defense, he is replacing three NFL skill players, including the QB and RB. The offense has some work to do in order to get going, but what Bruin fans are so upset about is the play-calling and decision making of the head coach. After a poor performance against Rice, Dorrell called out individual players to the media, blaming them for poor performances and effort. He acted in a similar fashion this week after the loss to Washington. Essentially, he is throwing his players and team under the proverbial bus, trying in vain to save his skin while torching his players. Unfortunately for UCLA, the schedule doesn't get any easier, if anything, they're in for a much more difficult road.
