The Patriots will be in the market for a receiver this year, and I bet they’ll draft at least one (or two), too. After coming up empty with Brandon Tate in 2009, Taylor Price in 2010, and Chad Ochocinco in 2011, it’s a priority this year. One obvious possibility is Brandon Lloyd. The former Broncos WR who played last year with the Rams excelled in the Pats(ish) offense, doing so under guru Josh McDaniels. So, now that McDaniels is in New England… ya know, duh. The fact that he said “I’m tied to McDaniels” makes him a likely free agent target. Right? Oh, and having 51 catches for 683 yards and five TDs last year in 11 games in St. Louis makes him look pretty good after he amassed 77 catches for 1,448 yards and 11 scores with Denver.
