As good as the San Francisco 49ers are, tight end Vernon Davis believes their rivals, the Seattle Seahawks are building a “dynasty.” “You have a team like Seattle who is coming up. They are building a dynasty over there. They have some good players over there who are eager to win. These guys are starving. We have to really keep that in mind because these guys are coming to take us out,” Davis told Jeff Darlington of the NFL Network. “I respect them, just like I respect my team, but we want to win too. We are in it to win.” Davis is right, the Seahawks have done a great job with building a winner, but so have the 49ers. Both teams are set up very well for the future.   Need NFL Tickets? Vernon Davis: Seahawks are building a Dynasty

The Seattle Seahawks have made some impressive moves this offseason, setting themselves up for high expectations moving forward. With an already stout defense and an explosive offense last season, they went out and added more to each side of the football, and people have taken notice. Vernon Davis had some nice things to say about a Division Rival. (AP Photo) Many preseason power...

Vernon Davis: Seattle Seahawks are Building a Dynasty

After a Super Bowl berth this past season and falling one incomplete pass of being Super Bowl champions, the San Francisco 49ers have found themselves among the favorites to return to the big game next February. Interestingly enough, one of their biggest roadblocks to another title game appearance are the Seattle Seahawks who reside in the exact same division. With two games scheduled...

TE Vance McDonald was most impressive rookie in offseason for 49ers

Tight end Vance McDonald, a second-round draft pick from Rice ad in his final two seasons, he recorded 999 receiving yards on 80 receptions and seven touchdowns. He was a first-team All-C-USA selection at tight end as a senior. He raised eyebrows during OTAs and McDonald is expected to replace Delanie Walker, who signed with the Tennessee Titans as a free agent. McDonald said...

Percy Harvin admires fellow Seahawks receivers

With the addition of Percy Harvin, who was obtained in a March trade for three draft choices, the Seattle Seahawks wide receiver core is one of the best in franchise history. “It’s been great working with these guys,” Harvin said, referring to Sidney Rice, Golden Tate and Doug Baldwin. “We have a lot of fun off the field. We’re always hanging out at Sid’s house

San Francisco 49ers fan shows his dedication with massive back tattoo

This San Francisco 49ers fan showed off his dedication with a massive back tattoo filled with 49ers legends such as Joe montant, Steve Young, Jerry Rice, Patrick Willis and former head coach Bill Walsh.  This fan was so excited about it that he tweeted the photo at Patrick Willis and Willis responded. @OH_Kai_ wow! I can't say I have ever seen myself tatted on someone before...

Why Everyone Needs to Calm Down With the Seattle Seahawks Talk

Look, I’m not a hater, I just can’t stand when people don’t take a step back and look at the whole situation before making outlandish claims or saddling someone or something with unreasonable expectations. Such is currently the case with the Seattle Seahawks. I have a couple of friends who are lifelong, die-hard Seahawk fans. Obviously, last year was a great year for them,...

49ers fan’s ginormous back tattoo honoring team’s history is amazeballs

As far as sports tattoos are concerned, there are some that are good (here and here), some that are not so good (here and here), and some that push the boundaries of good taste (here and most definitely here). This massive back tattoo mural celebrating the history of the San Francisco 49ers is borderline epic, not just because of its attention to detail and high quality, but because...

San Francisco 49ers: Comparing Justin Smith and Bryant Young

The injury that Justin Smith suffered against New England Patriots last year put an end to a pretty good season. In true warrior like fashion, he came back and played in the playoffs. There are few San Francisco 49ers that are more respected than Justin Smith. His ability to command the respect of his peers is comparable to another great 49er defensive lineman. Bryant Young was a...

Richard Sherman looking to position himself for more interceptions

According to ESPN’s John Clayton, Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman is looking to put himself in a better position to record more interceptions in 2013.   I can’t imagine Sherman being able to top the numbers he racked up last season.  Opposing NFL quarterbacks are going to be reluctant to throw the ball his way this coming season. Need NFL Tickets? The post Richard...

To kick off our Training Camp Position Battle series, we give a complete breakdown of the 49ers' competition at corner headed into camp. San Francisco's cornerbacks were very stout in the regular season, but gave up big plays late in the playoffs. Will the offseason addition of Nnamdi Asomugha help improve the already talented unit? Find out inside.
