Much has been made of the Eagles having to pay Michael Vick a $3 million guaranteed bonus if he was on the roster 3 days after the Super Bowl. Many assumed because of such a high number that it would be a forgone conclusion that Vick would be released by next week. The Star Ledger via Jason La Canfora says not so fast. La Canfora is reporting that Vick may well indeed receive that $3 million as the Eagles figure out what to do with their quarterback situation. La Canfora: Much has been made of the fact that $3 million of Mike Vick’s $16.5 million contract with the Eagles becomes guaranteed if he is on their roster come Feb. 6, but sources said that issue is not a concern at this time, and it’s unlikely Vick’s contract will be resolved before then. Kelly’s fast paced spread attack would seem to suit Vick’s skill sets but still some have doubt about whether Kelly will go with a battered 33-year-old quarterback who holds the ball to long. Expect the Eagles to hold onto to Vick up until...

Offseason Needs: Philadelphia Eagles

1. Quarterback The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to end the Michael Vick era this offseason. And while Nick Foles may be worth developing, he isn’t an immediate answer to their issues at quarterback. If they’re interested in keeping Foles, then signing a veteran makes the most sense. But if the new regime isn’t interested in Foles, Geno Smith may be a first-round option...

Gonzalez: The Eagles Should Keep Michael Vick

Categories: BREAKING NEWS Eagles NewsTags: Michael VickPhiladelphia EaglesOn Wednesday, John Gonzalez of CSNPhilly.com wrote a column where he presented a case for the Philadelphia Eagles to retain quarterback Michael Vick, and give him one more shot as the team’s starting quarterback. In the name of sanity, I can’t imagine why the Eagles, Gonzalez, or anyone capable of rational...

Eagles Rumors: Michael Vick Decision Not Coming Soon

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has a clause in his contract in which he’ll be guaranteed $3 million for next year on Feb. 6. Still, the Eagles aren’t in a hurry to make a decision on Vick’s future, as the guaranteed money isn’t a major issue for the team. For this reason, Vick’s situation and Philadelphia’s ultimate decision on the veteran doesn’t appear...

NFL News: Eagles Reportedly Hire Bill Lazor

The Philadelphia Eagles have reportedly hired Virginia offensive coordinator Bill Lazor. Lazor has been the offensive coordinator at Virginia since 2010 and has an extensive resume of working with quarterbacks. The Scranton Native coached in the NFL from 2001-2009. He was the quarterback coach with the Washington Redskins and Seattle Seahawks during that time. It appears as though Pat...

Eagles LeSean McCoy Admits He Wasn’t Hacked, Apologizes for Baby Mama Herpes Twitter Beef

I can respect this. We all get caught up from time to time, but you just have to man up and admit you made a mistake and keep it moving. It was unfortunate that LeSean McCoy let his personal business spill over into Social Media, but it won’t be the first or last time someone has that type of lapse in judgement. LeSean McCoy & Baby Mama Twitter Battle About Child Support &...

Philadelphia Eagles GM Howie Roseman Likes to Draft Senior Bowl Players

Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles have a history of drafting players who participated in the Senior Bowl.  With this year’s Senior Bowl week in the books, we may be able to start identifying potential Eagles targets. With Chip Kelly and a new coaching staff involved, we don’t have any drafting trends to look at so we could see Howie alter his M.O.  Another thing...

AP Sources: Cavaliers' Lazor to join Eagles staff

People familiar with the situation say offensive coordinator Bill Lazor is leaving Virginia to join the Philadelphia Eagles. The people said Tuesday that Lazor said he will join Chip Kelly's staff. The people spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because no formal announcement has been made by the university or the Eagles. Lazor's departure was first reported...

LeSean McCoy apologizes for Twitter meltdown

Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy is known for his highlight stick jukability.  Unfortunately for McCoy, he couldn't escape from one of the most bizarre Twitter meltdowns we've seen from a professional athlete this weekend.  McCoy got in a VERY nasty spat with the mother of his child for all the world to see.  This included McCoy calling his "BM"...

Patience is Key: Eagles QB Decision Not Imminent

Philadelphia Eagles fans love Quarterback controversies, and there's no way around that. No one knows why, we just do. It might be because we're just infatuated with the idea of change, which would explain fans tracking Gus Bradley's plane across the country, hopping on the "Gus Bus" and then subsequently realizing they actually have no idea who he...
