Starting in Week One of the 2011 regular season, Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton made his way into the NFL record book, now he’s finished the season taking NFL Rookie of Year honors. Cam Newton captured 47 of 50 possible votes for the award, which was presented on Saturday night. Newton also captured the Pepsi Rookie of the Year award as well.

Injury-plagued OLB Thomas Davis would like to stay with the Panthers and is willing to restructure his contract to facilitate his return. The Panthers would like to have him back, but the team is expected to release him before March 15, when he's due an $8 million bonus, if the two sides can't work out a very modest short-term deal (which would include a massive pay cut)...
