We are still awaiting the verdict, in the case of Makini R. Chaka vs. Redskins tight end Fred Davis. It all stems from an incident that happened on my birthday ironically, two years ago.
Since then, allegations of Ms. Chaka being a madam (something her lawyer denies), beef between Redskins and Ravens, Davis having a drinking problem and abusing women, have all been thrown out there.
The crux of the lawsuit, is that Davis threw a drink at Ms. Chaka, this video provided by Ms. Chaka’s lawyer, seems to back that up.
I think this is a fairly new way to ligated a case via YouTube, but whatever works. Ms. Chaka wants $350k for her troubles, which is ridiculous. She claims the drink throwing damaged her “celebrity brokering” business. Davis is a jerk for throwing the drink, but I don’t think it is worth more than a quarter of a million dollars. Maybe a few thousand dollars for her troubles and everyone can move on with their lives.
BEST OF MAXIM
Fred Davis, a tight end for the Washington Redskins, was in court last week for this incident that was caught on video. Davis was at a DC Nightclub when he dumped his drink on a woman and appeared to throw the bottle at her after doing so. Here’s what he said happened, under oath, in court:
Davis repeatedly denied throwing the bottle, even after a video of the incident was...

The first week of the 2013 NFL Free Agency period has come and gone and as far as the Washington Redskins go, it looks like the starting team that was able to win the 2012 NFC East title will pretty much be the same one that will take the field in 2013.

According to Kimberly Jones of NFL.com, Redskins coach Mike Shanahan isn’t sure Robert Griffin III will be ready for the start of the 2013 season. Shanahan has confidence in back up Kirk Cousins can fill in and keep the team moving in the right direction.
"You're hoping he's ready, but you can't plan for him to be ready," Shanahan said. "Kirk Cousins...
According to Rich Tandler of CSNWashington.com, Redskins’ head coach Mike Shanahan told the NFL Network that quarterback Robert Griffin III won’t play until he’s “100 percent.” He also stated that they’re preparing for him to possibly not be ready for the regular season opener.
