Vikings Now:
While the last few days in Vikings free agency seemed to start slow and develop late, the buzz is in full swing this morning regarding the team's need for a wide receiver.
There is plenty of buzz about Packers wideout James Jones, who satisfies the Vikings' need for a deep threat to complement their strong interior passing game options. Though he doesn't have great hands (see: Green Bay's playoff run), Jones runs crisp routes to get open, has decent athleticism and, perhaps most importantly after the Sidney Rice defection, is not injury prone (58 games last four seasons).
I've been told there's interest here, but I haven't heard about the parameters of a deal. Could happen soon, especially the way things are moving. Other primary options include the Jets' Braylon Edwards and the Chargers' Malcolm Floyd.
My take: Jones would be a nice pickup, but is he really the No. 1 WR the Vikings need (excluding Percy Harvin, who has No. 1 talent but belo...
