Walsh earned his third special teams award of the season after kicking three field goals, including a game-winning 29-yarder as time expired, in the Vikings' playoff-clinching 37-34 victory over Green Bay.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. The honors continue to roll in for Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson and rookie kicker Blair Walsh.

Vikes' Peterson wants to play special teams too
Adrian Peterson has done plenty over the years for the Minnesota Vikings and he has never publicly balked at taking on even more responsibility.
How about special teams? Of course, he'd love to do that, too.

Ponder has quietly passed through his struggles
The Minnesota Vikings are Adrian Peterson's team. Christian Ponder, though, is the one most responsible for their progress.
The passing game was so bad and the ground game was so good that, for a while, Peterson was rushing for more yards than Ponder was accumulating passing.
But since the Vikings lost to the Packers on Dec. 2, due largely to the two interceptions Ponder threw...
Wilfs take low-profile rout to leading Vikings
While some NFL owners prefer to be out front as the faces of their franchises, Minnesota Vikings owners Zygi and Mark Wilf stay behind the scenes providing quiet support.
They are rarely quoted about the team. Instead, they shell out big bucks for new turf for the team's practice facility, help defensive end Everson Griffen after his mother suddenly died during the season and...

Packers want to force Ponder to beat them
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Adrian Peterson was the best player for the Minnesota Vikings all season. There is no debating that. But as great as the team's star running back was, he needed some help from quarterback Christian Ponder in order to get the Vikings into the playoffs.
Throughout most of the season, Peterson didn't get that help. In his second NFL season, Ponder mostly struggled...
Packers still believe they can stop Peterson
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- There wasn't much that the Packers were able to do in the regular season to stop Adrian Peterson. The Minnesota Vikings' star running back totaled 409 yards in two games, making Green Bay's defense look helpless on many of his breakout runs.
Instead of enjoying a restful bye week and watching as four playoff teams get eliminated on wild-card weekend...

An insider's view of Vikings vs. Packers
When the Minnesota Vikings left Lambeau Field at 6-6 after losing to the Packers on Dec. 2, no one imagined they'd be back so soon.
