TEAMS: Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings released TE Allen Reisner on Thursday to make room for WR Jerome Simpson, who was added to the roster on Monday, following his three-game suspension for violating the team's substance abuse policy.
Reisner's release leaves the team with only three tight ends on the roster: Kyle Rudolph, John Carlson and Rhett Ellison (who is listed as a fullback but has played tight end for the team).
The loss hurts the depth of the tight end as Carlson missed nearly the entire training camp with a sprained MCL and missed all of last season with a shoulder injury and Rudolph sat out practice this week with a quadriceps injury.
The Vikings may hope to slide Reisner through waivers and pick him back up.

Juan Eye On: Jerome Simpson
I have a future in Cirque Du Soleil Juan…
In 2010, Simpson really wasn’t even a blip on the fantasy radar until T.O. went down and Simpson went off for 18/247/3 in the final 2 games. I had hopes of him becoming a sleeper in 2011, but was all over the map and finished with 50/725/4 despite playing opposite AJ Green.
