Philly Sports Muse:
Free agent Vince Young is looking for a job after not being re-signed by the Philadelphia Eagles after spending the 2011 season with the team. As far as Young is concerned, it’s because Andy Reid feels he’s too talented to be just a backup.
Bless his heart.
Young has received his first call from a potential suitor via the Buffalo Bills, who Young will work out for on Wednesday. Per the Buffalo News,
Young’s experience and great mobility could be attractive to Bills coach Chan Gailey. The Bills’ incumbent backup is Tyler Thigpen, who hardly played last year. He saw only mop-up duty in a loss at San Diego, completing 2 of 6 passes.
Fitzpatrick is entrenched as the Bills’ starter. If Young signed with Buffalo, he would become the favorite to beat out Thigpen for the No. 2 spot, based on his talent and experience.
Young’s time with the Eagles was less than stellar, arriving for one year after spending 5 seasons with the Tennessee Titans. VY most notably defeated the eventual Super Bowl-...

The Buffalo Bills have announced that they will work out veteran quarterback Vince Young on Wednesday.
It looks like the Bills are bringing Young in to see if he could be a good fit as a back up to Ryan Fitzpatrick. And who knows, if Fitzpatrick struggles like he did late last season, maybe Young would get a shot to once again be a starter.
I'm all about giving 2nd chances in life. Even in a sports world where fans/media tend to be judge, juror and executioner, we should give most athletes 2nd and even 3rd chances. Vince Young kind of falls into that place. Yes, he's had issues in the past with the Titans, but there is no denying that he's as talented as they come. Last year, I did a post about whether...
According to ESPN’s John Clayton via Rotoworld.com, the Buffalo Bills are “serious” about signing free agent quarterback Vince Young to compete with Tyler Thigpen to back up Ryan Fitzpatrick.
“If he does have a good workout, I think the GM Buddy Nix would be very serious about making that type of a move,” said Clayton on NFL Live. ”… If Vince Young works out well,...
