The New England Patriots will take their perfect 4-0 record to Cincinnati on Sunday and square off against a quality Bengals team that has started the season 2-2. Cincinnati has a number of talented offensive players for Bill Belichick’s defense to prepare for, including elite wide receiver A.J. Green. The former No. 4 overall draft pick is considered as one of the game’s best receivers and will pose the same kind of threat that Atlanta Falcons star Julio Jones did last week. In the running game, the Bengals have a strong one-two punch featuring rookie Giovani Bernard and former Patriot BenJarvus Green-Eillis. Cincinnati also has the 14th-best passing attack in the NFL, which is led by starting quarterback Andy Dalton. Which Bengals player are you most concerned about in Sunday’s game? Cincinnati Bengals: First quarter review

Fans of the Cincinnati Bengals have a lot to be vexed about after the first quarter of the 2013 year has passed with an upsetting 17-6 loss to the Cleveland Browns at FirstEnergy stadium last Sunday. After four games and a 2-2 record with a 1-1 split in the AFC North, there are certain intangibles that seem to be missing from the ’13 squad compared to the 2012 team that dominated...

A.J. Green Stuck in Neutral

Bill Belichick says 121 words to media, leaves

Bill Belichick not feeling chatty after a loss? What a surprise! Apparently the Patriots head coach did not have much to say to the media in his post-game press conference. He was his usual curt self, he just did it for far shorter of a time than usual. Here's Belichick's press conference— Nick Underhill (@Nick_Underhill) October 6, 2013 It...

The Packers will have to be on top of their game to top rejuvenated Lions

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Five things to watch for in Sunday afternoon's Week 5 matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions: 1. How does Aaron Rodgers bounce back from a rare bad game? There haven't been many poor performances from Rodgers in recent years. Therefore, there isn't much of a sample size to draw upon in determining how he responds to an un-Rodgers...

Patriots, CB Talib prepare for Bengals, WR Green

New England's Aqib Talib quieted one of the top receivers in the league last week. All the Patriots' shutdown cornerback has to do this week, is exactly that all over again. After blanketing Atlanta's Julio Jones during New England's 30-23 victory Sunday night, Talib will now draw Cincinnati's A.J. Green when the Patriots (4-0) meet the Bengals (2-2) on Sunday...

Sam Shields 'was kind of upset' Calvin Johnson didn't play

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- About 75 minutes before kickoff, players inside the Green Bay Packers' locker room began to find out that Detroit Lions' star wide receiver Calvin Johnson was inactive for their Week 5 matchup. While Johnson's absence certainly played into the Packers' favor and their 22-9 victory over the Lions, at least one Green Bay player didn't take it...

Patriots’ Defense Holds Strong Against Bengals Despite Being Put in One Tough Situation After Another

Bill Belichick took two big risks in mid May. On May 13, the Patriots’ head coach cut Brandon Deaderick. On May 15, he cut Kyle Love. Both players were quickly scooped up by Jacksonville. Deaderick remains on the team and has been one of the lone average spots on an otherwise horrendous defense. Love was cut at the end of the summer and remains unsigned, though he’s completely...
