It was a rough week to be an NFL quarterback as football fans saw Mike Vick, Jay Cutler, Ben Roethlisberger and Alex Smith all go down with injuries.
Vick, Cutler and Smith all suffered concussions while Roethlisberger was the “lucky one” and only suffered a sprained right shoulder.
While the 49ers and Bears are currently in first place in their respective divisions, the Steelers are just one win behind the first-place Ravens in the AFC North. The Eagles, meanwhile, are at 3-6 but have shown glimmers of brilliance after big early season wins over both the Ravens and Giants.
It may even be argued that a quarterback change is just what the struggling Eagles have needed. However, no one in San Francisco, Pittsburgh or Chicago have likely been hoping for a switch under center.

END OF AN ERA?
After suffering what is being called a 'significant concussion' on Sunday, Michael Vick's season (and maybe his time in Philly) could be over.
Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is expected to miss practice Thursday as he is recovering from a concussion he suffered last week, per Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times.
“Indications are that quarterback Jay Cutler will not practice today at Halas Hall,” writes Jensen. “In addition, his usual press conference today will not take place. Those are both strong indications that...
Baltimore Ravens (7-2) at Pittsburgh Steelers (6-3)
Ben Roethlisberger is out for this one. How can the Steelers possibly beat the 7-2 Ravens? That’s the question that everyone seems to be asking this week and apparently no one can come up with an answer as the public is pounding Baltimore as road favorites here. However, as is often the case with the public on heavy leans, I think...
During Sunday Night’s game against the Texans, Bears QB Jay Cutler was suffered a concussion and was held out of the second-half. Jason Campbell stepped in and was able to complete 11 of his 19 passes for 94 yards, but unfortunately was not able to get them in the end-zone.
There’s been some questions as to whether or not Cutler will be able to suit up for Week 11′s game...
Pittsburgh Steeler quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will miss Sundays game against the Baltimore Ravens. Exactly how many games the play caller will miss is unknown.
The problem is that Roethlisberger’s rib is partially dislocated and with the location of it there is some concern that it could press against his aorta.
According to Doug Bouchette Roethlisberger says the last time...
Just a few days ago Ben Roethlisberger was telling the world that he would miss a game if it meant he could be present for the birth of his child. Now Big Ben may miss a game because of another reason. Roethlisberger injured his shoulder in Monday night’s game after being sandwiched by Chiefs linebackers [...]
Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has a rib injury along with the shoulder problem and won't play Sunday, according to Adam Schefter.Fantasy Spin:Big Ben has a well documented history of playing through injuries but this could be the one that knocks him out for one or more games. Fantasy owners should plan a strategy which doesn't include Roethlisberger in Week 11.
The Chicago Bears are expected to sign quarterback Josh McCown with Jay Cutler's status in doubt because of a concussion, ESPN Chicago reported Monday. Cutler sustained a concussion after taking a hard hit during the Bears' 13-6 loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday night. Jason Campbell replaced Cutler for the second half of the game. The Bears will need another backup...
Michael Vick benching rumors swilled for weeks. While Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid could not pull the plug on Vick, for fear of losing his own job, the decision was made for him Sunday. Vick was knocked out of the Eagles game against the Dallas Cowboys after suffering a concussion.
Prior to the concussion Vick had been a turn over machine for the Eagles who have now lost...
The Chicago Bears have signed veteran backup quarterback Josh
McCown with Jay Cutler's status for this week uncertain.
ESPN’s John Clayton reported that Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is “doubtful” for this Monday night’s game against the 49ers, after suffering a concussion against the Texans.
If Cutler can’t play, Jason Campbell will get the start.
“It looks like he’s probably going to miss this week,” added Clayton. The issue with Cutler is that he reportedly has close to...
Last week: 14 (+7)
This team really lucked out. They were looking shaky (even off a 35 point home win) and had 2 games against the Steelers in their next 3 weeks and looked poised to cede their division lead, but Ben Roethlisberger’s injury changes that. They’re still allowing 40 more yards per game than they gain and have only won 2 games by more than 10 points despite...
You going in to take a hit or is it my turn? Andy Reid said on Monday that Mike Vick suffered a “pretty significant” concussion in Sunday’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys. This fact sets the stage for Nick Foles to be the Eagles’ starter against the Redskins in Week 11, which is reportedly set to occur. Said Reid, “I’m just telling you Michael is hurting right now. Nick is...
Fantasy Footballers reliving the glory days of championships won during the 2010 season are waking up to a difficult reality this week – Michael Vick of the Philadelphia Eagles may have played his last fantasy relevant game this season and perhaps ever. In the world of fake football he had a good run, but in that same world we as owners can't afford to become nostalgic and...
