Last week, Dallas Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Ware told reporters at Valley Ranch that he hasn't been cleared to participate in mini camp this week. But Ware, who had shoulder surgery in January, expects to return to action at training camp next month.
On Monday, Ware told the NFL Networks "NFL AM" show that if the Cowboys had a game today, he'd be on the field.
"I feel like if I had to put the pads on today, I'd be fine, and I'd be ready to play," he said.
Not too surprising considering Ware played through a torn labrum and a hyperextend elbow last season, never missing a start.
"I'm not 100 percent," Ware said Thursday. "But I'm good enough to play."
Ware, who has only missed one start in his eight-year career, led the Cowboys in sacks last season with 11.5.
