Former NFL star Warren Sapp LIED about losing his Super Bowl championship ring to everyone to try to avoid going to bankruptcy court, like most BELIEVED HE DID, according to a report."Is it so unbelievable that I misplaced my ring?" Sapp said back in April. "I wore it for 365 days, and we had a 7-9 season [in Tampa Bay in 2003] and I went to Oakland and I took it off. You never saw me with it anywhere The only time I brought it out was when the NFL Network wanted us to wear it." Sapp explained. This is where the story gets a little strange."We were at the Super Bowl, and I thought I handed it to someone, and he said I didn't. I checked my luggage to see if it was in a side pocket. I checked my suit to see if I put it somewhere. What was I going to do? Yell and scream because I lost a ring? That ring didn't make me a champion. Derrick Brooks, Simeon Rice, Ronde Barber, Brain Kelly, Dwight Smith. That crew made me a Champion," Sapp went on to say.S...

No love lost between the Philadelphia Eagles linebackers and the departure of the Wide-9

It was no illusion. The Philadelphia Eagles defense played better than they had in weeks in Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It couldn’t have all been because the death knell had been blown to the Wide 9 with the firing of Jim Washburn, could it? Not all, but it certainly didn’t hurt. The linebackers  felt that new d-line coach Tommy Brasher’s more traditional...

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Week 15 NFL Power Rankings (#15)

Last week: 15 (-4) Record: 6-7 Net points per drive: 0.25 (11th) DVOA: 1.1% (14th) Weighted DVOA: 0.4% (15th) A home loss to the Eagles effectively eliminates them from the playoffs. They would have had to win in New Orleans and Atlanta to make it anyway, but I thought they could, easily since the Falcons would likely be resting starters week 17. It turns out, that maybe they were...
