Kansas City at Buffalo

Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET, at Ralph Wilson Stadium, Buffalo - TV: CBS; DirecTV: 708

*TV announcers: Spero Dedes, Steve Beuerlein

*Keys to the game: The Bills brought in a quarterbacks guru to work on Ryan Fitzpatrick's footwork, and the NFL's interceptions leader in 2011 promptly went out and kicked off this season with three picks in the blowout loss to the Jets. With injuries already starting to mount for his skill position players, the Bills' ability to rebound from the Week 1 debacle rests squarely on Fitzgerald. The Chiefs were dissected by Falcons QB Matt Ryan last week, but are counting on the return of OLB Tamba Hali to provide a boost to the pass rush. Kansas City QB Matt Cassel is also looking for a rebound year and started off throwing with confidence against Atlanta before the score got lopsided. The positive for both offenses to build on come from the ground games; K.C.'s Jamaal Charles ran with decisiveness against the Falcons while C.J. Spiller continues to bring an explosive burst to Buffalo's attack as he assumes the feature role for at least the next 3-4 weeks.

*Matchup to watch - Chiefs WR Steve Breaston vs. Bills CB Stephon Gilmore: Veteran quarterbacks know how to exploit a weakness, and the rookie cornerback out of South Carolina was picked on by the Jets. Gilmore isn't raw, he was a three-year starter, but Breaston is a veteran with good route-running skills. And after Gilmore's struggles with big Jets WR Stephen Hill in the opener, the Chiefs will likely show him a heavy dose of Jonathan Baldwin as well.

*Player spotlight - Bills WR T.J. Graham: The third-round pick had 5,225 all-purpose yards at N.C. State, but was inactive Week 1 with coach Chan Gailey saying "he was not ready." With David Nelson out for the season, the Bills are seeking someone to step up among Graham and veterans Brad Smith and Ruvell Martin.

*Fast facts: Fitzpatrick needs one touchdown to reach 60 for his Bills career. ... The Chiefs have a four-game losing streak in the series dating back to the 1993 AFC Championship game.

WHO WILL WIN AND WHY

Injuries, poor defense and bad decision making from the quarterback. It was a frightening trio of horrors for Buffalo in the opener. Kansas City was also thumped by Atlanta, but showed promising signs in a back-and-forth first half.

*Our pick: Chiefs 30-27
