The Bear Necessities are a list of 5 things the Chicago Bears must do to win each game. If the Bears can pull the tasks off given to them each week, they should walk away victorious, and continue to collect the wins.
It’s been two tough weeks in a row for Bears’ fans. The Bears are starting to hit a must-win situation as the Lions are still ahead of them and the Packers are catching up. The offense and defense have both struggled at times and there have been ups and downs all around.
It’s a confusing Bears team with several things nobody could have expected. The Bears started red-hot going 3-0 and looking like a brand new team and then had a bad day in Detroit followed by a loss to the 5-0 Saints. Through five games Cutler has thrown for 1,368 yards, 10 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. Take away the three interceptions in Detroit and that turns into a number most people wouldn’t believe could come from Cutler. He currently ranks 8th in passing yards, 5th in passing touchdowns,...

When the Chicago Bears signed Brandon Marshall last year, they knew what they were getting. A top five reciever in the league who dropped the occasional over the shoulder pass and has some mental health issue (specifically Borderline Personality Disorder or BPD). Marshall, like many recievers, is a delicate balance between production and off the fiel drama. With Brandon...
The NFL says it will eject Brandon Marshall if he wears green shoes on Thursday to raise attention for Mental Health Awareness Week (Credit: Voices.Suntimes.com)
The No Fun League strikes again! Yesterday, Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall said this Thursday he will wear green shoes in support of his charity that focuses on mental health disorders. While players around...
After a putrid performance at Ford Field and failing to dig out of a first half hole against the Saints at home, the Chicago Bears find themselves in the midst of their first losing streak of the season. Thankfully the New York Giants will be limping into Soldier Field with a "who can believe it" 0-5 record Thursday night.Losing streaks are no fun, but they help expose...
Chicago cornerback Charles Tillman is inactive for the Bears' game Thursday night against the New York Giants because of a right knee injury.
A two-time Pro Bowl pick, Tillman had not missed a game since the 2009 finale. He has been bothered by groin and knee problems in recent weeks, although the groin was not mentioned on the injury report leading up to this game.
Martellus Bennett (knee game-time decision) is active for Week 6 against the Giants.
CB Peanut Tillman (knee) is inactive after playing hurt the past few weeks. Bennett is clearly at less than 100 percent but remains a borderline TE1 with a decent shot at a touchdown. Also inactive for the Bears are DT Stephen Paea OT Jonathan Scott TE Steve Maneri OG James Brown DE Cornelius Washington...

The club’s release follows: The Chicago Bears elevated DT Christian Tupou (two-poe) to the active roster from the practice squad and placed DT Nate Collins on injured reserve due to a [...]
The NFL is taking a harder stance than initially thought when it comes to Bears’ wide receiver’s plans to wear green shoes when the Bears take the field on Thursday night against the New York Giants. The odd part is that Brandon is doing it for a good cause, he is trying to draw more attention for Mental Health Awareness Week, lasts until Saturday. Marshall was diagnosed...
All the Twitter backlash of QB Jay Cutler and his inability to hold the ball is irrelevant to the 358 yards passing, 2 touchdowns and passer rating of 128.1, with NO interceptions. There were numerous balls dropped, one of which was an in-the-money catch that WR Earl Bennett let bounce off his chest. The double coverage on WR Brandon Marshall forced Cutler to move the ball around...

The Giants play for pride tonight against the Bears. Recovering from their 0-5 hole is possible, even if extremely unlikely, but before that happens they must go out there and play for their own pride. It won't be easy. The Bears are a good team, sitting at 3-2, but they have lost their last two games, albeit against tough opponents.
They are well rounded, ranking in the...
