After an agonizing three weeks that seemed like an NFL eternity, the league and they're locked out officials have reached an agreement.

And they'll be back just in time for Thursday Night Football.

It took some bad calls, some really really bad calls for the parties involved to get up off they're collective asses and make this happen.

Imagine going through the entire season with replacements? Just when we thought we saw many straws that broke the camel's back on Sunday, Monday had a huge surprise for us in the form of a BS touchdown call, giving the Seattle Seahawks an undeserved the win over the Green Bay Packers. Enough was enough.

"We are glad to be getting back on the field for this week's games," referees union president Scott Green said.

Here are some details: It's a long eight-year that two federal mediators assisted with, and must be ratified by 51 percent of the union's 121 members. There's a vote on Friday and Saturday in Dallas. Under the deal, the refs' salaries will increase from an average of $149,000 a year in 2011 to $173,000 in 2013, rising to $205,000 by 2019.

The officials' pension plan will remain in place for current officials through the 2016 season or until the official earns 20 years of service. The defined benefit plan will then be frozen.

Notable referee Ed Hochuli told AP, As you know, this has to be ratified and we know very little about it, but we're excited to be back. And ready,"  "And I think that's the most important message -- that we're ready."
