It’s never easy to leave one place where you called home for ten years and then leave. It does make it easier if you’re new home is a place you’re quite familiar with.
Todd Heap was born in Mesa, Arizona and played his college ball at Arizona State. It must feel good to return home. On a weekend where NFL Hall Of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe was inducted into the Hall Of Fame, Heap joined his new team, his hometown team.
The 31-year old, two time All-Pro and two time Pro-Bowler has enough gas left in the tank to hopefully have his own place in the Hall Of Fame someday. Right now though, Heap is all about bringing back winning football to the place that he can truly call home.
With several additions to the Arizona Cardinals including quarterback Kevin Kolb, Heap will have to make a veteran presence to a team who is just 4 years removed from the Super Bowl.
