Everyone by now should know that Wes Welker left New England for Denver during the Free Agency signings. Welker went on ESPN's talk show, "Mike & Mike", and had a few more things to say about leaving the Patriots. He was asked if the negotiation became personal. “No, I don’t think so. I think a lot of it is just business,” Welker said. “It’s kind of the unfortunate part of the business, but it is what it is. You try to find what works for you, as far as financially and as a player and everything else. I think at the end of the day, fortunately or unfortunately, it kind of just worked out the way it did.” Wes Welker is a smaller guy compared to most wide receivers.
