Will Witherspoon is a multilinguist.  In addition to English he also speaks German fluently and is working on Arabic and Swedish.  He is also multi talented.
Growing up in a military family Witherspoon picked the game of football up in high school and was a 3 year starter for the University of Georgia Bulldogs before he was drafted by the Panthers in the third round of the 2002 NFL Draft.
Witherspoon took advantage of his opportunities when middle linebacker Dan Morgan went down with injuries in both of Witherspoon’s first two seasons.
In his second season he was the only linebacker on the Panthers roster who started every game.  In Superbowl XXXVVII he totaled 16 tackles!!!!!!!
Witherspoon got paid by the Rams in 2006 when he signed a 6 year 33 million dollar contract.  The established former Panther did not dissappoint in his first year, earning team MVP in 2007.
Eventually he was traded to the Eagles who released him in March of this year.  That’s when Jeff Fisher and Mike Reinfeldt decided they would sign the veteran just four days after he was released.
This is a smart guy who knows what it’s like to be on a winning team in the NFL.  A tackle machine against the run, Witherspoon has good change of direction speed making him a good cover linebacker as well.  When blitzing he has been known to get to the quarterback and strip the ball away on multiple instances.
Bottom line is Witherspoon is gonna make plays this year and it will be very interesting depending upon how the Titans draft how Chuck Cecil is gonna use this the 9 year veteran.
